Aether Sauna at Warleigh Weir

A wood-fired mobile sauna on the island at Warleigh Weir, the best known wild swimming spot on the Avon east of Bath. Cooling off means getting into the river itself, since there are no showers and no toilets on the land. Every session is led by a Gusmeister and includes a guided Aufguss of eight to thirteen minutes with scent, music and towel work, which almost nothing else round here does. The sauna runs 50°C to 110°C depending on where you sit and how far into the session you are.

Seasonal. No parking on Ferry Lane. Cars usually park by the A36 and walk down. Phones are not allowed inside, and sessions are 16+ apart from the family ones.
