About Bristol Sauna
Bristol has quietly become one of the best cities in the country for a sauna. This site is an attempt to put all of it in one place.
In the last three years the city has gained wood-fired saunas on city farms, ice baths in back yards in Redfield and Kingswood, a floating sauna on a lake north of the ring road, and a run of community-run huts charging £10 a session. Most of them are small operations, most of them are booked through a different system, and several have no website at all, just an Instagram account and a booking page.
That makes the scene hard to navigate if you don't already know it. You can find one sauna easily enough. Finding the right one for a Tuesday evening in Bedminster, at a price you want to pay, with a cold plunge, is harder than it should be.
What's here
Every sauna we can verify in and around Bristol, 30 of them, with its location on one map, what it costs, what kind of sauna it actually is, its rating, and a direct link to book. 7 of them are under £12 a session.
Listings cover the full range deliberately: community saunas, private hire in the woods, hotel spas, and the gyms and leisure centres where a sauna comes with a day pass. They are very different products at very different prices, and the price guide explains which is which.
Where the information comes from
Venue details are compiled from each venue's own website and public listings, and checked as carefully as we can manage. Photographs are the venues' own, taken from their own public pages, and every listing credits and links back to the site the photos came from. 25 of the 30 venues have photography; the rest are waiting on it.
Prices, opening hours and booking systems change often in this scene, faster than any directory can keep up with. Always check the venue's own page before you travel.
Corrections and additions
If you run a Bristol sauna and something here is wrong, out of date, or you'd rather we used different photographs, or none, email hello@bristolsauna.co.uk and it will be changed or removed.
The same goes if we've missed you. New saunas are opening here every few months and this list is only as good as what we hear about.
Bristol Sauna is independent. Nothing on the site is paid for, no listing is promoted, and there are no affiliate links on the booking buttons.
